I'm going to create a new, innovative website that is user benefit initiated and not commerce constrained or provoked adaptation. What that simply means is that users "hold the cards" to begin the process and commerce "contributes the cards" to "play the user's desired hand." For example, lets say "users" (consumers & businesses alike) want to go eat at a restaurant, so they peruse the available options (i.e. types of food, pricing, locale, etc.). Let's say, however, that users we're able to request what they wanted (e.g. quantity, quality, timing, delivery, pricing, etc) and waited for commerce to respond to this need or want? Supply and demand economics has been based in great part by commerce's own predetermined supply availability (and constraints thereof) and from this "inventory;" user demand would/could only absorb those products/service as predicated/allowed by established commercial strategies.
To further explain, consider this; "there is a new sheriff in town" and it's called Google. There's also a "new deputy in town" and it's called Facebook. The former has begun to implement a new strategy, let's call "user generated content." This flies in the face of traditional commerce marketing (i.e. they will decide, from statistical/behavioral/fiscal, etc analysis) what will or can be offered to the user; whereas conversely the behavioral (actual) response by the user can determine the path/flow of success/direction. Bravo, bravo Google. A new age has dawn.
So what is my website? Let's just say initially it will change a few industries quite dramatically and it's model may become a new benchmark for most industries! It won't become the next Google or Facebook, but certainly it may become the next eBay, Wikipedia, Craigslist, among others.
So here's what's on the table; (1) I would like to make a proposal to Google, Facebook, Yahoo and all other Tier I type companies; to take over this idea. The cost will be $5 million and a cut of the profits. All that I ask in return from any company, which hears the proposal, is to sign a confidential agreement and non-compete agreement which forbears them from utilizing this strategy/idea/business. Now what does any of these companies have to lose, if it's something they have not discovered/invented/implemented? Nothing. (2) Assuming, which is quite likely (given their bureaucracy of size), that I will not hear from the aforementioned companies; I'm requesting [from major metropolitan cities]; 100 entertainment booking agents, 100 entertainment promoters, 100 event planners, 100 nightclub/resort VIP managers/marketers, and 1-10 IT professionals (re: to handle server and telecommunication needs, webmasters, security), or last but not least an investor[s] willing to implement this idea. All persons will be given ownership and/or franchise rights.
Now, if you understood what I spoke of in this blog, you certainly understand the value thereof and this blog is for you! Why did I post? The quickest distance between 2 points is a straight line. Enough said?
See, I'm practicing what I preach....I'm throwing out the information to see if anyone finds this blog and responds. Thanks for reading this blog!
I read it, but it was way over my head. Hopefully I'll be able to figure things out after you post more entries.
